The Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn – Unlocking the Secret Hunter Masks
The Battle for Brooklyn expansion in The Division 2 introduces a 8 new set of elusive Hunter challenges, each rewarding a unique and mysterious mask. For agents eager to uncover all the secrets of this new territory, a series of intricate puzzles must be solved. This guide will walk you through the steps to find and defeat the Hunters guarding four of these coveted masks.
To unlock the Hunters Puzzle box, you will need to defeat all 8 of the hunters for the Ask keys. Once you unlock the box, will get the New Named Famas called Huntsman and skin called Hunter of Hunters!

To summon this Hunter, you’ll need to locate and collect four specific fuel tanks scattered across Brooklyn.
Once all tanks are gathered, follow the instructions to bring them to a designated location to trigger the Hunter’s appearance.
Be prepared for a challenging encounter when the Hunter spawns.
The Lumin Mask:
This puzzle does need to be done at NIGHT 2100 or later. To tell the time, open your start menu and the time is at the top of the menu.
This mask’s challenge begins near the intersection of Old Fulton Street and Front Street.
Interact with a specific garage door and pull the switch to initiate the puzzle.
Follow a trail of subtle UV / blue lights and hidden Hunter symbols that will guide you through the area.
The final location is Front St. & Bridge St. The Hunter is on top of a roof top area and will spawn once you enter the area.
The Merry Mask:
Can be done at any time day or night doesn’t matter.
Unlocking the Merry Mask requires a scavenger hunt for 7 distinct parts hidden throughout Brooklyn.
Each part must be collected in a specific sequence or from particular locations.
Once all seven components are acquired, interact with the horse on the table next to the carousel to trigger the Hunter’s spawn.
The RedTail Mask:
Can be done at any time day or night doesn’t matter.
This challenge involves deactivating a total of 9 antennas spread across the Brooklyn map.
Each antenna requires a specific interaction or sequence to deactivate. A sound will play if done correctly.
Successfully deactivating all nine antennas, you will need to deactive the system in a room in the sewers.
Once you do this, exit straight out will lead to the appearance of the RedTail Hunter.
The Conqueror Mask:
Can be done at any time day or night doesn’t matter.
This mask’s challenge involves finding and detonating seven specific stuffed animals hidden across the Brooklyn map.
The toys include a turtle, leopard, snake, teddy bear (requires unlocking a gate via a generator and computer), parrot, dolphin, and hippo.
Once all seven are detonated, head to a designated spot and interact with a monkey to spawn the Hunter.
The Hunter will appear, ready for a fight, and defeating it rewards the Conqueror Mask and an Ash Key.
The Cipher Mask:
Can be done at any time day or night doesn’t matter.
This mask’s challenge begins in Dumbo, near the Brooklyn Bridge.
Find a building with the alphabet displayed on its side.
Shoot the letters in the correct order to spell “ROBOT” (one bullet per letter). Use a Rifle or Marksman Rifle but be ready for the Hunter.
If you make a mistake, reset by logging out/in or leaving and returning.
Spelling “ROBOT” correctly spawns the Cipher Hunter, ready for a fight.
Defeating the Hunter rewards the Cipher Mask and an SHD Tech point.
The Tracker Mask:
The DIVISION 2 SECRETS DISCORD has solved another hunter puzzle. First User to solve it Discord user paseux.
This mask’s challenge begins at the building marked “192” on Front Street, near Bridge Street.
Enter Room 192, which will then lock behind you.
Perform a specific movement sequence within the room: back against the door, forward to the desk, left to furniture, up, right to an obstacle, down to furniture, right, up (adjusting if needed), left, and finally up to the blue switch, back up, go right, and “Rise” will appear above the switch and interact with the switch to spawn the Hunter.
To begin this challenge, you need to have collected all seven other Hunter masks.
Go back to the old safe house from the original Division game, located on Plymouth Street near John Street.
Inside the safe house, head upstairs to find and interact with a specific map.
After interacting, exit the safe house, go up the stairs, follow the path around, and jump out a window to reach the rooftop.
The Necronos Hunter will spawn on the rooftop.
Defeat the Hunter to claim the Necronos Mask.
General Tips for Hunter Encounters:
Hunters are formidable foes. Ensure your build is optimized for high damage and survivability.
Bring a team if possible, as these encounters can be very difficult solo.
Pay close attention to environmental clues and interactable objects, as they are key to solving the puzzles.
Be ready for a fight immediately after completing the puzzle steps, as Hunters often spawn without much warning.
